We offer ground transportation for our bunny families. We will drive your bunny to you, directly from our home to yours!

What is a ground transportation nanny versus a Bunny Transport Service? 

Bunny Transport is typically a service offered to you to have your bunny delivered to a public place within a few hours of your home in which you would then travel to said place to pick-up your new bunny. While this option is a much less expensive way to have your bunny delivered we aren't big fans of this option. Bunnies traveling via Bunny Transport Services are typically in very small cages for long periods of time with little to no interaction or human contact traveling along side many other bunnies sometimes over 25+ bunnies at time, for these reasons we choose not to work with Bunny Transport Services. 

Please Note: we are not bashing Rabbit Transport Services we are merely stating our opinion based on our personal experiences and offerings our bunny families an explanation as to why we choose not to work with Rabbit Transport Services.

A ground transport nanny is a qualified, passionate individual who cares about a bunny's health, safety, and happiness. Ground transporting bunnies via a pet nanny, in our opinion, one of the safest and most comfortable ways for them to travel long distances. Traveling inside the vehicle with a pet nanny with no more than two bunnies at a time allows the bunny/bunnies to be supervised the entire time during travel and allows bunnies to travel very long distances. Traveling with a pet nanny also ensures that our bunnies are cared for and given our undivided attention during the travels from our home to yours as there will be two of us traveling this way your bunny has undivided attention from one of us at all times while one us has all eyes on the road to carefully & safely deliver your new bunny directly to your front door. Here at Jack & Birdie's Little Lagomorphs, we serve as our own pet nannies! Ensuring that our bunnies are transported to our standards, and getting to meet you & your family in person and see the look on your face when you meet your new bunny for the first time is priceless!

We do not profit from this service; it costs us money because we could not possibly charge accordingly to cover the 12-18 hour days (sometimes even longer and overnight stays at times) we endure when we transport bunnies. However, ensuring that our bunnies are transported to our standards, and getting to meet you & your family in person and see the look on your face when you meet your new bunny for the first time is priceless!

We only travel 525 miles from our location as we have found this distance, a days drive is best for our bunnies and us.

Our Bunny Ground Transport cost varies greatly depending on the area we are delivering to and is broken down below:

Flat rate for traveling inside the state of Florida is $175.00 and outside the state Florida is $350.00. 

Ground Transport costs is $1.00 per mile. Which will be calculated via Google maps.

* $175 - $350 nanny fee which covers 

*The time and care that goes into hand delivering your new bunny. There will be at least two of us traveling this way your bunny has undivided attention from one of us at all times.

* Our fuel cost traveling from our home to yours.

*Our tolls and parkway fees ect.

*Our meals for the day

* Consumable bunny travel supplies

We also offer Bunny Pick-Up local to us in downtown Winter Haven, Florida this option is completely free.
